Winners of School Action Project

A series of competitions have been organized under the project ‘Promoting Science & Health Communication through Outreach and Capacity Building of School Students and Linked Communities’ (Catalyzed and supported by National Council for Science and Technology Communication, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India). For the month of December – January, NCSTC (DST) and TERI invited applications from students to participate in ‘School Action Projects (SAP)’. The objective of this activity was to make students ideate on a ‘product’, develop it, and use it to spread awareness on issues that emerged with the COVID-19 outbreak. It also focused on understanding the creative side of students and their viewpoints on prevalent issues in the health sector. A list of all 25 winners for the same is given below:

Winners of Logo Design Contest

The logo design contest was organized in the month of December – January as a part of the project 'Promoting Science & Health Communication through Outreach and Capacity Building of School Students and Linked Communities’ which is catalyzed and supported by the National Council for Science and Technology Communication, Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. It was organized with an objective to understand students' ideas about the project and to give them an opportunity to present their ideas creatively through a logo. Logo Design Contest -Submit your entry by 7 December 2021

It’s been already six months of engagement and deliberations with schools on topics of science and health communication and we are sure students are excited to know, what’s new in this section. We now come up with a ‘Logo Design Contest’ to understand from you, your idea of the project, and if there are certain key words that you associate with. Make a difference through your art and give an image recognition to our project. Participate in the logo design contest and win an opportunity to feature on our website.

Who can participate: Students from class 7 - 12 (12- 17 years)

Announcing Video Message Contest

Do you want to share your experiences during COVID 19 pandemic?

Participate in video message contest and submit 1- 2 minute video addressing any one of the following questions:

  1. Share 5 words about your experience of online school classes.
  2. Share 2 ideas on how you maintained your physical activity while staying inside your household.
  3. Share top 3 innovative ideas on using water, sanitation, and hygiene indicators for COVID responsive behavior.
  4. Share 1 approach that you have adopted to teach community members about COVID 19.
  5. Talk about 2 practices you have carried out at home to conserve water while washing hands frequently during COVID-19.
  6. Share 1 practice related to maintaining hygiene which you adopted as a part of your daily life during the pandemic.
